OrbViz’ makes Microsoft move

26 May 2026

OrbViz is eying new market growth following its recent transition to Microsoft Azure and listing on Microsoft Marketplace as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV).

The move reflected increased alignment between OrbViz and the Microsoft technologies already used across its customer base including Power BI, Microsoft 365, CoPilot and Azure.

OrbViz CEO Vanessa O’Brien said the decision reflected a broader strategy around ecosystem alignment and long-term growth. “Our customers already operate inside the Microsoft ecosystem. Joining Microsoft allows us to build closer to the environments, tools and workflows they – and new customers - already trust and use every day.”

OrbViz integrated natively with Microsoft Power BI and transformed traditional data, proposals and business reviews into interactive, customer-facing experiences that combined data, narrative and engagement tracking. This allowed organisations to present the full picture and gain visibility into how stakeholders engaged with information.

The move to Microsoft also supported closer integration with procurement pathways and security environments for OrbViz customers. OrbViz was already Soc 2 Type 2 compliant, but the move strengthened the platform’s ability to scale across enterprise and government organisations that already operated within the Microsoft ecosystem.

It also supported OrbViz’ product roadmap around AI. Microsoft Azure provided OrbViz with access to a growing range of large language models and AI services within a secure, enterprise-grade environment, that supported future capabilities across insight and narrative generation, automation and agentic AI without requiring customers to move outside their existing governance and security frameworks.

For partners, the Microsoft ecosystem created new opportunities to deliver customer-facing reporting, customer intelligence and engagement capabilities on top of existing Power BI and analytics environments. OrbViz was already exploring opportunities with Microsoft partners in New Zealand and Australia.
